Overview
This test rig enables the investigation of components in the anode path of fuel cell systems without the need for a complete stack configuration.
Design Parameters
- Design temperature: 200 °C
- Design pressure: 6 bar(a)
Process and Test Capabilities
- Variable gas composition
- e.g. 100 % H₂ ↔ 100 % N₂
- Variable humidification levels
- 0–100 % relative humidity
- Controlled droplet loading capability
- Real‑time gas analysis
- Online mass spectrometer
Automation
- Automation software: TwinCAT
System Design
This test rig is used for the aero-, thermo- and structural-dynamic analysis of cathode- and anode-side charging systems and system components with multiphase and multicomponent flows, such as recirculation blowers, cathode-side air supply systems, as well as components of fuel cell systems (up to a maximum of 300 kW), under real gas compositions and water loading.
This test rig has been conceived as a two‑part system:
- Main module
- Incorporating all relevant system components for anode path simulation
- Optional auxiliary module
- Dedicated DI water supply and return system
The modular layout allows for high flexibility in system configuration and testing.
