This test module is designed for the aerodynamic, thermodynamic and structural‑dynamic analysis of cathode‑ and anode‑side charging systems as well as system components operating with multiphase and multicomponent flows.

Typical components under investigation include recirculation blowers, cathode air supply systems, and system components of fuel cell systems with rated power levels of up to 300 kW. All tests are performed under real‑gas compositions and controlled water loading.

A key advantage of this test bench is the ability to simulate and test the anode path without the need to install a complete fuel cell stack, enabling efficient and flexible component‑level investigations.

System Concept

The anode loop test module has been conceived as a two‑part system:

  • Main module
    • Incorporating all relevant system components for anode path simulation
  • Optional auxiliary module
    • Dedicated DI water supply and return system

This modular layout allows for high flexibility in system configuration and testing.
